i remember when I worked in the kitchen of a prison and one lucnh we supposedly didn't send up enough cheese (we did but someone probably hogged the cheese... the inmates in that cell block were very angry... anywho they sent little old me to bring more cheese...

I walked into the building and the guards were sitting behind their nice glassed enclosure ... I went over to ask about where to bring the cheese and they basically just shrugged at me... then this one inmate came up to me with a group of other inmates and basically kind of surrounded me.... they asked for the cheese and I just handed it to the first inmate I saw and I got out of there.... the guards didn't seem concerned at all....:blink:

So, the inmates not only want more sausage but they like cheese with it aswell? :P

(seriously, that sounded a little scary, Marilyn!)

it was  ... us kitchen workers were constantly put in situations where we came in direct contact with the inmates and this prison wasn't a minimum security prison it was a maximum... with the rapists and murderers etc.... and when we brought the food to the different buildings we had to walk by ourselves right where the inmates were allowed to walk...

we constantly walked among the inmates.... it was really freaky but for the most part i tired not to dwell on it...

well, we actually had to serve the inmates..... we brought our things of food to the kitchen in the inmates building and had to dole it out as the inmates came past... and there wasn't really anything between us and them..... sometimes a guard would watch the food line but most of the time they stayed behind their desks...
