Hi,

Today I received notice that our application to adjust status has been approved and that my 2 year green card is in the post. Obviously I'm very excited, but it's a bit weird as we haven't been given an interview, or as far as I know been through the FBI name check.

Is this a new thing they've started doing?

Oh they did the FBI check, but MSC decided that your case was a simple one so sent it to CSC instead of your local office for interview. CSC also decided that an interview was not needed so they approved it.

This is not un-common and happens all the time, many posts on this.

Anyway Congrats!, it happened to us last week.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

No, not new at all. There's a super long thread for CSC transferees and each monthly filer thread has many people transfered to CSC - CSC usually means no interview, unless the app gets transferred out to a local office.

married: jan 5, 2007

noa 1: march 2nd, 2007

interview @ tampa, fl office: april 26, 2007

green card received: may 5, 2007

removal of conditions timeline:

03/26/2009 - received in VSC

07/20/2009 - card production ordered!

No, not new at all. There's a super long thread for CSC transferees and each monthly filer thread has many people transfered to CSC - CSC usually means no interview, unless the app gets transferred out to a local office.

Gosh, I'm sorry, it seems I'm still pretty poor at this forum business.

In that case I'll change my n00b mistake post into a 'Thanks visajourney forum members, we'd NEVER have made it through this without you guys!' post instead.

We have the same experience, I was not interviewed also they just sent the Green Card.

Hi, I got an email today, from USCIS, telling me that my Adjustment of status case was transfered from MSC to California Service Center.Is this a good sign?

10/01/2010: Application was sent.

10/04/2010: Application was received.

10/06/2010: Email received "Application has been received" & Noticed Date.

10/07/2010: "Touch"

10/08/2010: "Touch" & Check was Cashed

10/09/2010: NOA1 Received via mail.

10/22/2010: Status Changed Online "Request for evidence" It was for Biometrics.

10/25/2010: Request for evidence recieved "Biometrics Notice".

11/18/2010: Biometrics date ==> 11:00AM. Biometrics was taken On time.

That's the way it happened for us. AOS approval in 57 days without an interview.

July 14, 2009 - Check cleared bank

July 20, 2009 - NOA1 & 1 yr extension - Receipt date is July 14. Case# assigned

Sept 1, 2009 - Biometrics completed

Nov 25, 2009 - I-751 is approved. No Interview.

Dec 14, 2009 - 10yr Green Card arrived !
