AOS/I-864/Joint-sponsor

My income wasn't enough to qualify, got a joint sponsor who is married & they filed taxes jointly & no dependent on their tax return.

my question is.

both need to fill out I-864 or just one?

If both then, do they use same income figure?

If one, do both have to put their name on I-864 as a sponsor or just one?

do they both have to sign on I-864 or just one?

do they have to submit 3 years tax return or just last year will work?

If you "maine" joint sponsors income is enough to support you and the people living in his household you only need him/her fill out the I-864 and sing it. If it's not enough or you just want to make your, you'll have your "maine" joint sponsor sign the I-864 and put his/her spouse in question 24 b (if they live together in one household). If you do so you'll also have to have them sign a I-864A, which is a contract between the two of them.

I don't think that you have to file with 3 years... it says in question 25... I have filed the federal tax return for the 3 most recent tax years.... I have attached... bla... bla... for only the most recent year... After you put in your tax stuff you have a box that you can check, it's optional... i have attached... for my second and third most recent year.
