RFE for I-864?

When the automated system says there's a problem with the I-864, it means that the DS-230 is done being reviewed but the I-864 hasn't been reviewed yet. Is that correct? Or was it vice versa?

We got the message that there's something wrong with our I-864.. oh oh.

I'm not sure what the message is when you don't get a Checklist (RFE) - because we did get one.

Basically the auto message was:

"The NVC has reviewed your packet of forms and found information missing or incomplete on your financial information

the NVC mailed a checklist for correction on August 21st, if it has been more than 4 weeks since we mailed this and you have still not received it" - etc etc

Perhaps someone can clarify what the difference is between the message above, which is genuinely missing information and the one you get when they are waiting for the DS-230 or reviewing it or the I-864....

i recently got the same recording end of last month and i got the checklist this month, the checklist indicated they were needing another i 864 and that was it....the same recording kept playing so i talked to the live operater and found out that they were in process of reviewing the checklist but as well waiting for the ds230 which was sent last month and i never got it....

so no telling what they are wanting to review or what is needed again ...

Thats the message I got and received the letter after few days. They are simply waiting for the DS230, and that I-864 has already been reviewed successfully.

That is confusing. Did it actually say 'we mailed out a checklist for correction on 'such and such a date'? If it actually gave the date of mail out I would say that is actually an RFE - I would also call the NVC back to double check with someone else, tell them about the message and specifically say - hey, did you send us a Checklist on - whichever date.

Then again it could just be the 'not really a problem' message.

When I called they were able to tell me what day the Checklist was mailed out on and what it was for specifically.

Well, on the automated message it says that they mailed out a checklist on Sept 13 or something. But when I talked to an operator they said that they haven't even reviewed it yet. It's paradox. Grrrrr.

They already have Jasman's DS-230 - already entered in to their system.

The message you got, the 'false' missing info message - did it say - we sent you a Checklist on such and such a date? Or did it just have a general 'we are missing information' - with no date mentioned for sending out a checklist?

They said information was missing or incomplete and that they sent out a checklist on September 13. But this info just doesn't match up with what the live operator told me (saying that they haven't even looked at the I-864)...
