first of all congratz on your case moving along now!!! after you return your RFE and it should only take a couple weeks for the NOA2, your case will be sent to the NVC where they will give it a case number. this can take a few weeks. then it is shipped to the embassy in your country. from there every embassy is different so hopefully someone who has experience there can help you with the rest. Good Luck to you!!!!

Once the petition is approved, they send the paper file to the National Visa Center. NVC runs a security namecheck - I think that's for the USC but I'm not sure. When the security check clears, NVC transfer the I129-F petition to Ciudad Juarez. Then THEY send a namecheck to the FBI for the visa applicant. When that one clears, usually within a few weeks, they send out the Fiancée Packet for the interview.

So from beginning to end I don't know how long it takes - I think it's 4-6 weeks but maybe someone else has first hand experience.

Also, be sure to read up on the things you need and don't need in CJ at the interview. For example, your fiance needs to do the medical at least a day before - go first thing in the morning and pick up the results after 2:00. There are two clinics in CJ for the medical. No police certificates are required for Mexico. You have to pay the $100 interview fee in advance at any Banamex in Mexico and bring the proof of payment. Fiance interviews are only between 8 and 10 am M-F excluding the last Friday of the month and any American and Mexican holidays.

When you get the NOA2 and fiance packet, please post it in your timeline so we have an idea of how long it takes for future reference!!
