I received this email this morning from my Congressman, Ron Kind from Wisconsin:

Dear Friends,

Over the past decade, immigration reform has been a hotly debated issue both in western Wisconsin and Washington, D.C. While there is little agreement on how to address this situation, everyone agrees that the current system is broken.

My first priority is always the safety of my constituents, and I’ve called for greater enforcement of our borders, and our immigration laws. However, I also recognize that we must address the unique workforce needs of Wisconsin’s agriculture industry, which relies heavily on migrant labor.

It’s obvious that this controversial issue involves many interests – including yours. I want to know what your thoughts are on this issue. Please take a minute to complete the short survey below.

I did tell him a bit of my/our frustration with the process and why it takes so long for the K-1 etc. If I can get what I typed back, I'll share it with you all. I wasn't able to copy and paste what I typed. Any other thoughts as long as I have a link to my congressman?

I like the George Carlin solution myself. If the illegal wants to become a legal resident give them a gun and send them to Iraq for a couple of years. If they don't want to go to Iraq, send them anyway but don't give them a gun

How ironically funny. It's obvious your congressman does not have a complete awareness of who his constituents are. Wanna bet these form letters were also delivered to the illegals in his constituency? Also wanna bet how they answered? Too funny.
