Dear Sir/Madam,

Our records indicate that the case is still pending under administrative process and we will contact the applicant(s) upon completion of this process. Also, time duration for the process is always approximated therefore maximum cannot be predicted.

I hope this information will be helpful to you. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you required any further inquiry.

DOS=Department of State. The State Department has the case status in their data base. So when the embassy makes a change

on your case DOS will know about it, but in general terms and not in detail.

All you hear may be that your case is still pending in AP / AR.

I found out that the embassy had ordered a DNA test but they never informed me and DOS saw it on their computer screen and I started the proceedings for that and I told the embassy that I was aware of the DNA request.

Often the embassies take some time to inform an applicant that AP/AR is complete but if you call DOS every 2 weeks or so to check your

status then you may find out sooner.

It is not the magic bullet but at least there is something to do. Keep emailing your embassy periodically inquiring about your case status so they

know you are both actively pursuing the petition.
