we had a simple civil wedding, did not even cost us a fortune. Even if you plan to have a church wedding, they will still ask you to have a civil wedding first as it is a requirement for any church wedding. Have your USC husband-to-be to bring with him his birth certificate, divorce decrees (if any), his passport and apply for Legal Capacity to Marry. The US Embassy in Manila does it at certain days and limited hour in a day, so make sure to visit the website.

If I remember correctly, the embassy only does capacity to marry until 10 AM. We were married in a church ceremony but didn't need a civil ceremony. That may be due to us being married in a Protestant church since we didn't have time to go through the dissolution here and have a church wedding.

We just had a civil marriage in Queson City the judge was a friend of her nanay so no cost it was his gift and the reception was at her sister's resto in Makati and gave us a very good price. Might do it all over again over here for my family

We had our wedding in the Philippines was inexpensive didnt cost much it was planned at the last minute. We were going to have a civil wedding but ended up as a church wedding.
