Today is my love's birthday! Hicham is 34 today!!!!!

We (me and our son) called him first thing this morning so that we were the first to wish him Happy Birthday! Inshallah, this is the last birthday we'll be apart!!!!

I guess I blew it for fasting today :whistle: It's so hard when I have full day time schedules & have to sleep at a reasonable hour and be perky & pleasant all day. Specially b/c I'm also trying to drink almost 100oz of water daily... can't really do that b/t 7::30-10:30pm :blink: Maybe I can manage the weekends this year.... :help:

Whenever I prayed with my husband he would go too fast and I'd ask him after, Puleeeeeeeeeeeeese slow down!! I mean I don't know he can be saying the same words as I am for pete's sakes since I'm going as fast as I can when I'm doing it with him and he's already on to the next thing. :wacko: So this past visit we prayed together like twice and then he was on his own 'cause I couldn't take it anymore. lol

i think the prayer over here in this area is at like 4am.....i heard the call to prayer this morning as we were going to sleep around 345-4am sometime around there.....or a little after 4.......i know lots of people were outside really loud from like 2am until this. :)

Ramadan Mubarak to all my friends here.

oh so maybe they have a really long and formal sujoor the first day. Figures I slept through mine! lol I am so NOT a morning person!!! :P

possibly....Geo said to me that when he lived here for 7yrs during Ramadan it was ALWAYS like that between 2am and first prayer........i know geo's hours are different this month..the shop usually closes at 10pm but now will reopen at 9pm and close at 1 or 2am. fun fun :blink::wacko: ahh well we will get used to it.

June 11 05-Married George, civil ceremony in New York

May 30 08-Baby Joshua was born

Jan 15-Back to NY we go...

May 10-made decision not to go back overseas.

July 10-filed for divorce

Jan 11-Divorce final

July 11-1st trip to take Josh to see George

Mar 12-2nd trip to take Josh to see George

01/26/2008 visa in hand with a typo :(

02/03/2008 2 weeks more of waiting.... Visa in hand...... :)

2/20/2008 on US soil :)

2/21/2008 marriage :)

03/16/2008 shows delivered chicago

4/12/2008 check cashed :)

4/13/2008 NOA's for all 3

4/18/2008 bio letter

Jenn- have you ever tried "Mediterranian Restaurant" on route 1 right next to the Christmas Tree Shop?

I'm thinking of getting lamb kabob and baklava from there tonight but not sure how it is.

No, I drive by it every day, but I've never eaten there. It's Greek, right? Let me know how it is...mmmmm, kabob.

New day, new name. :thumbs: I cannot tell you how liberating it feels to drop my last name from here.

To those of you that have stuck with me the last 2 months of craziness, thank you. I have gone thru and still going thru, depression, insomnia and a wicked little eating disorder that has left me able to drink liquids but not eat/swallow solid food. I have watched my pants size go from a 20 to a 14. My hair and skin are now suffering and I am taking steps to get help. I am slowly coming out of my daze and feeling better each day.

I would like to take this chance to announce my new yahoo group. This will be the first and last time I talk about it openly here in VJ. I will add a link to it thru my signature. The name is Jackies Corner and is a place for all women that are needing a place to go with doubts and pain, a place to vent and not face criticism or judgement. It is private and by email invite only. If you or someone you know is going thru a break-up, pm me with an email address and I will send out an invite. I hope to see NONE of you there, but this is reality and it is going to happen.

On a much happier note, I see alot of approvals, arrivals and movement in cases. Congrats to all of you.
