Happy Thursday everyone.

School started today, and I can tell my mornings are gonna be nice and quiet for a change! Mon's brothers are finally going back to school. Vacation here in Egypt lasted for about 4 and a half months. Lucky ducks.

Ramadan Kareem y'all (F)

Dag was it rough getting up early this morning. Moh got up before me and decided to make me coffee. Only problem was he just added water to the machine and didn't change the filter with the old grounds in it (he forgot that part). It was a nice gesture but making the new coffee cut into my drinking, eating and smoking time....I only had 30 mins. I'm looking forward to this evening since we'll be attending Taraweh prayers at a new mosque only 10 mins from home. We're meeting a Syrian couple there that we met at the grocery store a couple nights ago. I'm actually getting kinda excited now for Ramadan. :)

Have a great day everyone!

That's awesome! I'm hoping to go to a mosque at least once this year, hopefully with Dee if we can get together.

I woke up at 6:30am so no coffee or sujoor (is that how you say it) for me today. *sigh*.

Does anyone know why my husband and his sisters had sujoor at 2:30am ??? He's not around right now to ask but that is pretty darn early if ya ask me! Maybe they go to sleep after and then wake up for fajr or something....or maybe he meant 2:30am my time? Guess I'll have to wait to find out.

Maybe they stayed up until then so they ate before going to bed just in case they didn't wake up in time.

Moh was up and at 'em at 4:30 this morning. When I was alone doing Ramadan I rarely got up to have sujoor. Now it's kinda nice to have someone to encourage me to do it. We even prayed Fajr this morning.....together. I kinda embarrased to admit this but this is the first time we prayed together. We plan on going to the mosque every night during Ramadan or at the very least a couple times a week. I'm really glad we met that couple the other night. I would've never known about that new mosque so close to us. I'm also glad that Moh was able to find a nice man to talk with and maybe even encourage him to get back to religion. He's an older gentleman probably in his late 40s (I know that's not OLD but it's older compared to us).

I hope you and Dee can get together during Ramadan, Doodle. I think it would pick up her spirits a lot. (F)

Thats very nice moody, i wish my husband had someone here for ramadan. The couple we knew flew to jordan for ramadan so that kind of bummed me out. Oh well, I will do what i can for him.
