Photo-ID... we all have them, but how happy are we with them?

My passport photo is absolutely HIDEOUS... the kind that makes you think you should be walking around with a bag over your head. And the scary thing is, that was the second photo I got taken for it - the first one was so utterly unusable that I cut them up and threw them in the trash! The second photo was hideous too, but I decided I didn't have any more time to mess around and sent it in. So now I have to cart around the world's worst passport photo until 2010.

My EAD and greencard photos are just fine and I didn't mind showing them to anyone... and I just got my Florida ID card and it's actually a GOOD photo! I was really surprised at how nicely it turned out...

I'm happy to leave my passport buried in the drawer and to show my new ID...

Well, when I got my new license last month (just moved cross-country), I made sure I went after work on a day when I was wearing a nice suit and I touched up my makeup beforehand ... when I go if it's not a workday, I make sure I wear something decent (at least, a decent shirt) and do my makeup and make sure my hair isn't a mess, but no more than I normally do for work or when going out somewhere.

It's okay but the colors are wacky, I think it was low on red and blue ink (looks like it was printed almost exclusively in black and yellow) 'cause I was wearing a light blue-and-brown striped jacket and light blue shirt, and it looks like a yellow-and-white-striped jacket and white shirt. And my hair is a medium reddish-brown and came out very dark brown, and I tend to have very red cheeks but my skin looks really pale. It's an okay picture, it just looks like an okay picture of someone else!

My previous driver license photos have all been great, particularly my first one and my most recent NJ one. My work IDs are awful (well, one is merely bad, the other is awful) and my passport is okay, not great but okay.

I had my state ID photo taken on a day when it was sweltering heat and dripping with humidity, so all things considered it came out pretty damn well! I look a little sweaty and flushed, but I think everyone who had their photo taken that day did  I'm certainly not ashamed to show it to anyone.

Make sure you're wearing clean knickers. You never know when you'll be run over by a bus.

It's my driver's license and I really kind of like the picture on it although my hair appears to be a color I never had (kind of a light brown). My passport picture is so-so and as for the picture I sent with my K-1 application...... hope it didn't scare anyone.

I love my Cdn driver's license photo! The lady that took it said it was the best driver's license photo she's seen! The one down here makes me look grumpy. Must be all that immigration stress...

My passport picture is quite good actually. I dont know how I managed that, but I'm happy to show it to anyone.

On the other hand my EAD is just about the most hideous picture of me ever taken. I'm very ashamed of it and do not look forward to showing it to anyone!! Worst thing is, that's the picture (taken at the biometrics appointment) that will go on the GC too, isnt it?! I mean, it is so awful that if I could I'd go ask to have it re-done. I think I've worked out the expression I have on my face in that picture. It looks like I have raging PMS and would like to throttle someone. I was in a really good mood that day too, but I didnt realise that they were taking the picture of me when they did, or I'd at least have smiled! Didnt help that my hair was all blown about by the wind just as we got walked into the building.

So now I know and will make a massive effort for my DL picture, go all out with the make-up, smile and have a comb in my pocket in case of sudden extreme gusts of wind. haha

I use mainly my DL for identification. The picture on my green card is a lot better than the one on my DL though. When I went to get my DL, I didn't expect to get one that same day so I wasn't really prepared to have my picture taken.

I used to show my driver's license as ID when I was still in the US. It had the worst picture ever on it, and I wasn't the only person to think that. Luckily my DL got confiscated when I tried to reclaim my German license, so I'll have to get a new license once back in the US. :P

For me--driver's licence, looks an order of magnitude uglier than my already-ugly mug, only prep was the bemoaning of budgeting out half a day to go to PG county's MVA-MD office in Beltsville (at least not as bad as the VA-DMV office in Fairfax where you need to budget at least one full day).
