As most people here know by now my mother, my husbands sponsor has died, my problem is i can not find a new sponsor :

#1 Does anyone know if there are any humanitarian waivers if this problem occurs?

#2 Does anyone know if there is another way for my husband to stay here legally?

Thank you in Advance!!!!

Bonnie,

I'm sorry to hear about your Mum, but YOU are your husband's sponsor, and your late mother might have been a joint sponsor, but she was never the primary sponsor in a marriage-based petition. Now, what you need is another joint sponsor, who will meet the financial requirements. Have you investigated other options rather than income to meet the burden. Do either you or your husband have any assets?

Thank you for your condolences. No ,neither of us have any assets. This threw us quite for a loop as you can imagine. Thats why I am at a loss as what to do. And as I understand it he can not work until we file for an EAD and in order to file for it you have to file for AOS. Is that correct?

Sorry to hear about your mother. You could try asking the local minister of a church or other religious figure. When I was struggling to find a sponsor that's what I was planning to do if I couldn't find one. I'm not a religious person either. I know of someone that has found a sponsor by doing this so maybe you will have some luck with that. Just a suggestion.

Yes, that's correct. Did your mother sign the I-864 before she died?
