mamalovesdada, sorry to hear about the delay. But again, it's just a slight delay and not a denial, but yeah, it still sucks. :)

I suppose they didn't let you know about that stuff because I think their packet 3 is a standard file and they may not have known when they sent out packet 3 that the Phillipines has some pretty strict policies regarding documents.

Now, i have to wait for a month to process the papers that they needed and another month to get another interview date.

I wonder if you'll have to wait a month for the second interview. Since you've already submitted your papers in the first part and had your fingerprints taken, maybe they'll schedule an interview for you at a different time of day that isn't with the 4 visa applicants they interview every day. You might have less of a wait. I hope so. (F)

Well, they gave me this...

"we cannot process your visa application due to insufficient information. When oyu have obtained the requested items listed below, please CONTACT our office via email to schedule a NEW APPOINTMENT. Please show this form to the security guard located at the 1075 West Pender Street entrance of the consulate"

a. Passport

b. Philippine NBI clearance

c. Philippine Marriage Index Check

We cannot make a final decision on your case until we complete additional administrative processing. We will contact you once this processing has been completed. PLEASE DO NOT TELEPHONE US OR RETURN TO THE CONSULAR SECTION UNTIL WE ASK YOU TO COME IN.

I answered you PM, but just wanted to add here as well.

I got the same letter, listing the documents I needed to bring, with the same "additional admin processing". If you know how much time exactly it will take you to get the required information, schedule the appointment now. Even if you don't do it now, don't worry, you probably don't have to wait another month, they are pretty fast in Vancouver, you might get it let's say next week after you ask about it. Don't be afraid to email them and ask about what you need, they respond well and actually the guy who responds is very helpful and they also want to finish cases fast.

They told me: Bring us the document, we want to finish you case fast. I though Oh my God, HOW I WANT that you finish my case fast. :thumbs:

I just talked to my sister and she's working on getting those papers for me. It will take two weeks and another week for the mail but as soon as she sends them to me via DHL, i will schedule for an appointment.

Thanks again you guys. :thumbs: I'm quite relieved now. This morning, i almost didn't recognize myself in the mirror. LOL. - that's from my crying last night. You all know what i mean. :devil:

I also wanna thank my husband who after all these times has been very supportive. He keeps me strong. :innocent:

01-02-2008 - AOS Sent

01-04-2008 - Received Date

01-08-2008 - Notice Date I-797C

01-16-2008 - Received NOA for Biometrics appointment

01-30-2008 - Biometrics appointment

02-15-2008 - Received NOA Request for applicant to appear for initial interview Form I-485, Notice Date - Feb.8,2008

03-04-2008 - Received EAD for both myself and my son.........:)

03-04-2008 - Received AP for both myself and my son.......:)

05-07-2008 - Interview for I-485

05-07-2008 - Request for additional medical for myself. I was pregnant for the first medical and couldn't get xrays for the TB test. I also needed mumps measles and rubella shot at the time and couldn't get until after the pregnancy.

05-23-2008 - Medical approved and sent to USCIS.

06-03-2008 - I-797 Notice of Action . Welcome notice. Application for permanent residence approved...:)!!

06-06-2008 - Greencards received....YEAH!! Happy Dance!!
