Hi,

You can't check a case at NVC online - so I'm not sure what you are referring to?

there's that official website of immigration where you put your case number and it gives you all the steps that your case went thru ......but in my case, the website keeps saying " wrong case number even though i type the right one", is it because the case arrived NVC and i can't check it anymore or what ?

Once a case goes to NOA2 USCIS has nothing more to do with it. The case is now in the hands of Department of State, You can call NVC and talk to an operator, and when it leaves NVC and is sent to the consulate or embassy, you can call DOS for case status, again you need to talk to an operator.

call the DOS at 202.663.1225

Then press 1, then press 5, then press 0.

Use the case number given to you by NVC.

I am very new to this and can't figure how to post my questions. I would sure appreciate any help I could get.

We had our K1 approval from CSC on Aug. 22nd. Could anyone tell me how long it takes to get to NVC? Also how do you find out what your case number is? Can you find out what the case number is before they send the file to the consulate in Morocco?

I have really enjoyed reading all the information on here. Any and all help will be appreciated. Thanks ahead of time.

After you receive your NOA2 from USCIS, that online checking is no longer useful. No online check for cases at NVC.

Doesn't the USCIS case status have a touch or something after the beneficiary arrives in the U.S. with the immigrant visa and is admitted? I thought there was a case status update when the permanent resident card is manufactured?

It takes a few weeks, CSC tends to save up petitions and then bulk ships them to NVC, it takes some time to truck it cross country, NVC is in New Hampshire.

The K-1 flow chart gives you an idea. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...amp;page=k1flow
