Hi. I don't know if this is the correct thread but I want to ask the Filipina women about their wedding gowns. How much did yours cost? I'm planning to have one made at my hometown by my mom's friend who's a famous designer for wedding gowns. She really makes beautiful gowns. My mom was told that her brand new gowns would cost at least 22,800 pesos and would be more depending on the design. We will be given discounts though but I'm still thinking. I want to be practical and at the same time have a gorgeous gown and I'm very choosy with clothes. I don't want to wear second-hands though.

Comments? Suggestions?

I got my gown from David's Bridal here in Las Vegas. I have thought of having my gown made there in Manila before leaving. I have talked to some designers and they cost me 30,000 pesos, the lowest cost i got is 18,000 pesos and they cant promise that they can finish the gown within a month so we scratch the idea. When i got here we attended a bridal show an got the list of bridal stores in the area. I found one at David's Bridal at $399 plus the length alteration of $125. So i got a gown with the same cost as if i had it made in the Philippines minus the hassle of transporting it.
