Hi RandyandRina... Aurea...

Did you submit the documents and the DS-230 in 2 separate envelopes inside the return envelope that came from the NVC?

Or did you put it together (docts and DS-230) inside the return envelope?

I just heard from a forum friend that she did the former, how did you submit yours?

Thanks...

Hi,

I really appreciate your advices and info's. I guess i was just unlucky.I've even read lots of NVC articles,blogs etc.I really thougt NVC would not need my police clearance cause lots of relatives were not asked of this police clearances. I thought NBI clerance was enough.But its not.Lucky for those people who didnt experienced or wont experience the same thing.

And one thing,

My DS230 was returned to me because of my answer at N0.2 Other Names Used (maiden Name).Yeah, i've put my maiden name, but they told me its wrong.What the ??!k?Oh, visa journey is really a good forum site.Vj'rs are right I have to put my complete married Name not the maiden name.

Thanks again guys.

I hope everything goes smoothly.

Hi Aurea, this thing about question no.2 in DS-230 confuses me, cuz in my form i wrote "Givenname Mother'sfamilyname Father'sfamilyname" and not my married name cuz my married name is already given in No.1. What's the right thing to do here? thanks

Just as an example:

Mary Jane Doe-Smith OR Mary Jane Doe Smith

where:

Mary= first name

Jane= middle name

Doe= maiden name

Smith= married name

your answer for # 2 will be:

Mary Jane Doe, Mary J. Doe, Mary Doe, Mary J. Doe-Smith. Mary D. Smith, Mary Doe-Smith

Some of the VJers I know was asked to put ALL assumed and used names for q#2 including maiden name. It's better to be safe than sorry. I have seen who got RFE'd on this.

Good luck!

HI VJ'RS,

I NEEDYOUR HELP!

ITS REGARDING MY POLICE CLEARANCE.THE NVC RETURNED A CHECKLIST TO ME:

POLICE CERTIFICATE: I'VE LIVED ON THE FOLLOWING PLACES;

CRAIG STREET.,SAMPALOC,MANILA, PHILIPPINES

GASTAMBIDE STREET, SAMPALOC, MANILA,PHILIPPINES

MY QUESTION IS: DO I HAVE TO OBTAIN A POLICE CLEARANCE FOR THE TWO ADDRESSES ABOVE?THEY'RE JUST THE SAME LOCALITY BUT ONLY A DIFFERENT STREET.

the bad thing is "i've already sent the police clearance with the address at craig street,sampaloc, manila without the police clearance statingthe adrees gastambide street, sampalovc, manila"

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN NVC SEND ANOTHER RFE (FOR THE SECOND TIME) TO ME?

I'M CONFUSED!PLEASE HELP!!!!

Required is a NBI clearance and a local police clearance for any city your spouse lived in for 6 months or more.

For sure if those addresses are listed on the biographical information.

Any thing less is will be puked back at you.

Rick
