Charlie,

All is great in Illinois, hope the same can be said with you and yours.

We used the A # from the NOA-2 since it was originally issued by the USCIS and is associated with all other correspondence thru the government stateside (NVC, transfer to embassy, etc.). The one printed on the Visa is only there and on the I-94 (which was transferred directly from the visa).

I'm sure the Embassy wouldn't want to admit their mistake; just like I'm sure we aren't the only ones to experience a typo on the visa. If you really want an accurate answer I would definately refer you to the customer service number at the USCIS. I know it is a real pain getting to talk to a human being, but I always just choose the option to change our address then when someone comes online I tell them the real reason for my call and I am usually transferred from the "call center" to a case worker.

Good luck with everything, Charlie, and take care.

There was a typo in the A# on my visa as well. They accidentally doubled a number and left off the last digit. I didn't notice until my biometrics appointment when it was pointed out to me. (The number on my NOA1 was the right one.) I now have other A# problems, but that has nothing to do with the typo...

Thanks so much CB for the info. Life is so much better with MJ finally here. She fit in right away. We were lucky enough to also find a Philippine mini market that has everything that she will ever need. She feels like she is at home with the exception of missing her mom, dad, and brothers which is normal.

Take Care,

Charlie
