Waiting Times For Interview At Vancouver Consolate?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if any of you could tell me where I would find out approximately how long a wait for an interview is at the Vancouver embassy? I don't even have my NOA2 yet (should be soon) but I am trying to plan my wedding out and seeing if a specific date will work. If you could give me an approximation of how long it should be after we get our NOA2 or direct me somewhere that would give me more information, that would be wonderful! Thanks!

~ 06/08/06 - First met in person (Calgary, Alberta).

~ 12/30/06 - He gave her a shiny, pretty ring!

~ 02/08/08 - Kyle enters the States via Washington.

~ 02/09/08 - Kyle arrives in Ohio. Together at last!!! :D

~ 07/17/08 - Submitted requested evidence.

~ 07/30/08 - Case is transferred to CSC.

~ 08/22/08 - Receive Kyle's AP documents!!!

~ 08/23/08 - Receive Kyle's EAD card!!!

~ 09/25/08 - Receives green card!!!

~ 09/02/10 - Biometrics retaken

~ 09/16/10 - Approved!

~ 09/21/10 - 10 year green card received!

People have usually received their interview dates for a month or so after sending the Packet 3 back to the Vancouver consulate. Stacey33 got hers within 10 days, though I think that was sheer luck. (And if you're looking at my signature and wondering how that can be, I requested mine three months in advance. ^_^)

You can also do a check on the timelines and use the filter settings to get a better idea as to what you may expect. Good luck with the wedding plans! :D

Check the timelines, but I'll venture a guess that you're going to get your NOA2 anyday now. Our application went to NVC, then to the Vancouver Consulate within a week. After faxing back Package 4 to Vancouver, the wait times were about a month from the time Vancouver received the package. You can request certain dates even, especially if it's going to be maybe longer than a month. This is what I did, and had it about 6 weeks or so after I faxed my package back.

Thanks to both of you for your help! And I'm sure I will!

Now I just have to find a way to tell my parents that the wedding will be a lot sooner, and to start saving some money now! I'm even going out for an interview for a part time job today to start saving some money up for the wedding and to help my fiancé pay for all of the fees and bills that are upcoming with the interview and all of that coming up!
