I was just reading on USCIS's website that on August 27th they posted a memo acknowledging the delayed processing times for the service centers and the USCIS lockbox for adjustment of status applications. It says in that memo that they would be advising weekly of the updated processing times. I do not see another memo posted since. Is there anywhere else that I should be looking for that information?

Thanks so much for that info .. now .. if on 09/07/07 they advised that they were processing apps received 08/15/07 and they say to wait 2 weeks for you to receive your notice and they received mine on 08/01/07 (checks not cashed to date)... how long should I wait before I call USCIS to see what's up??? (this waiting is agonizing :))

I don't think there is much you can do. They usually recommend to wait 30 days.

Did you check the August filers thread to see how long it took for them to received their NOA? I know many of them received the biometrics appointment before they even got their NOA1. You can compare your case with theirs and see if you're the only one around that time who hasn't received anything yet.

But keep in mind that it's backlogged and that it takes longer than usual to receive things.

You'll probably hear something this week. My stuff arrived on 8/1 and our check cleared on the tenth and we received all the NOAs yesterday. If we hadn't heard anything this week we were going to make an Infopass appointment to ensure they had our address.

They are very behind and they know it. We just got this email from CSC:

Thank you for your inquiry.

California Service Center has experienced a tremendous increase in the number of mails received, which has resulted in front log of mail awaiting data-entry. Your response to our evidence request has not yet been entered into our system as of today. Now, it will approximately take 30ys to key-in mails to our system from the receiving date. This office is making every effort to address the delay. Thank you for your patience with the process.
