Hi Everyone,

I am sorry if I put this in the wrong place, was not sure where I should put it. I am currently"Still" on the waiting list and am expecting to be for at least another year. But I was just looking into the new "Fees" (really high fees). and I was getting confussed as to what is for what and how, when where, etc. So can someone clear this up for me please??

1. Once he gets here what are the exact forms we have to fill out to send in AOS??

2. Has anyone already done the AOS (after marriage part) with the new fee?? If so what was the total cost??

3. After you file the AOS, are there anymore fees that will need to be paid later?? If so what and how much??

I think that is all, I am just trying to get prepared, and make sure that I have everything ready. Thank you all for your help in advance.

1) I-485, I-131, I-765

2) $1,010 total for all three applications

3) I-751 in order to lift conditions is now $465 plus biometrics I think...

The I 751 is paid for when we go to the AOS interview??

No, that is filed within 90 days of the conditional greencard expiry, most times that is 1 year and 9 months or so after AOS approval.

Ok, I understand better now. So then there will be no more fees after the I761?? And the total amount after here should be $1,475??

Thank you for your help, WJR

NO you file I-751 and pay for it within 90 days of the conditional green card expiration. Also the fee can always go up again by then.

Two other forms needed for AOS not mentioned, G-325A for the alien adjusting status, and I-864 with financial evidence provided by the US Citizen Spouse Sponsor.

This is all spelled out in the guides. :guides:

I-131 is optional for K-1 holders if they do not intend on leaving the country while waiting for AOS, and is not needed for K-3 holders at all due to the K-3 being a multi entry visa.

Not necessarily... Citizenship? 10 year greencard renewal? all have fees attached.

No additional fees for the supporting forms G-325A, and I-864, just that they are required for a complete petition.

Again please read the guides. :guides:

The K1 visa applicant will also pay a $100 visa fee, a fee for the medical examination, fees to a civil surgeon and possibly a small visa delivery fee.

Why muddied the waters? What was the first question WJR asked?

Because if you read the tone of the first post in the thread it is primarily what filings must be done and $$$ and the forms YuAndDan mentioned are supplements or attachments to the primary filings.

Ok, I have to say I am confussed now, I really do not want to ask for clarification because I do not want to be yelled at for not reading the guidelines. Thanks anyways everyone. WJR
