Hello Everyone,

I'm currently living in Warsaw (Poland) with my husband. He is a U.S. citizen. We applied for an immigrant visa in August. Our case is still in progress, though. I have to apply for a waiver on basis of misrepresentation -( I -601).

In 2002, on the way from Mexico I was denied reentrance to U.S. They stamped my passport and said I could come back there after the period of one year, though.

I have a few questions concerning the waiver.

1) are there other options to a waiver?

2) my husband has been living with me since we got married here in Warsaw. Is it obligatory for him to leave before we apply for a waiver? If he stays here, will it "disqualify" us?

3) will getting a lawyer make all this process easier in any way? Maybe, somebody could recommend one?

Thanks for any help in this matter.

Sabina
