So I'm getting a little anxious for my husband to get his AP & EAD, and been doing some research looking at when people get their EAD, AP & interview dates. It seems that those that get approved for AP and/or EAD get either transfered automatically to CSC or get later interview dates. But what about those that get interview date notices right off the bat. Does that mean that USCIS temporarily is doing nothing with the case until the interview?

The VJ timeline estimator function estimates we "may" get adjucated as early as 9/17 for AP, and 10/6 for EAD so we are anxious. Should we do infopass if these dates pass, or hang tight?

My husband is homesick and we are planning a 2 week trip to see family so we want to plan this out before interview time, but of course with AP in hand.

What were your experiences? If you received an interview notice date in the mail, did you even get the AP & EAD, or just GC? If you did get AP/EAD about when? (yes yes yes i know 3 months is standard time, i'm just wondering the differences between cases that have interviews and those that have CSC transfers)

Thanks

My understanding is that it IS possible you won't get the Advance Parole (though rare). However, I think you can call them 90 days from your NOA1 date and get an in person interview to see where it is at. I was advice by so many people NOT to leave the country. It would be better I think to wait for a couple of months than to risk starting all over, or even just losing your airfare.

USCIS will still process the EAD and AP even if you got an interview letter. My EAD was still processed in between receiving the letter and my actual interview date.

AOS is processed independantly (as is EAD & AP) so they will all process regardless of status of the other applications WITH exception to certain RFEs that can slow or stop interim benefits.

If you get an interview date "right of ther bat" that just means your local office is processing with speed.

CSC transfers or interviews makes no difference when processing EAD & AP. The timeline is still an average of 80-110 days.
