MENA Slumber Party history--------------

In 2004 when my husband interviewed, I sat alone in my living room and waited for his call. I vowed to never let another MENA girl wait by herself, thus I founded the 'MENA Slumber Party'' as a way to show support and comfort to the one waiting. Just having some others around, means alot, just ask the girls who have already had their party. We usually don't make it til the call comes, but it helps to kill the last few hours of waiting.

I always ask first if the one waiting would like a party, and so far no one has turned me down  Ya never know what to expect at these gatherings or who will pop in. So, see ya'll tonight, Amal I will call to remind you. Andrea, walk the dogs early and come visit. Hope to see my favorite frog with her tales of house renovation.

 I thought the first slumber party we had was for Lebanese Bride? I remember her asking for everyone to stay up with her that night in chat and then we all stayed up with her until like 3am. I thought thats how it started.

VJ Hours - I am available M-F from 10am - 5pm PST. I will occasionaly put in some OT for a fairly good poo slinging thread or a donut.

I second this!!

Can't wait to see you all there, we're going to have a blast...and if we don't make it to the phone call (and we might not, we're still having those rotton connections problems that are sure to give me an ulcer by the time this is over with) I'll just start cleaning like crazzzzzzy.

Thanks for the support & good wishes :)

Divorced. To hell with him.

Yep, LebaneseBride was the first! When was that, in 2005? There have many since then and each one is different.

Not sure if I'll make it tonight but I want to say...

Good luck, Sparrow and Ramy (F)

I, personally, did not attend my slumber party (no net at home at the time) but Jackie was gracious enough to give me her phone number so I could tell someone once I got the call. I really appreciated having someone to talk to even if I did have to wake her at 4am. Thanks again, Jackie. (F)
