Ok, I'll try to say the question like I mean it, and hope it is worded correctly. We are going to file the AOS papers within the next week. If we travel INSIDE the US after the 90 days is up, but before the AOS is approved or whatever, what else do we need to bring, in case the airport looks at her ID (passport) and says... hmmm, this says you are passed your approved stay...? Hope this makes sense. Just don't want to be at the airport and they give us problems. We went to the Social Security office to change her name and they said that we were supposed to contact Homeland Security tio get the K1 status removed. That's the AOS forms we are sending in, right? Or is there something I'm missing?

Wait on the SSN name change until AOS is approved.... it is easiest..

For domestic travel they will look at the ID page not scrutinize her entire passport

YMMV

Traveling domestically with a valid or expired I-94 card is not a problem, you are not dealing with immigrations and customs when you travel domestically. The passport is only being used as photo ID by airport officials to confirm that the airline ticket matches the person traveling on it. Make sure if passport is in maiden name that airline tickets are booked in maiden name.

Yes K-1 status removal is Adjustment Of Status, I-485 filing.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.
