I am sorry but the following TOS violation is easy for the moderators or Ewok to defend (or hide behind) in many/most situations

• Make comments in a Post either direct or implied toward another member that are purposely designed to upset, antagonize, make fun of, belittle, or otherwise instigate an argument that takes away from the personal enjoyment of the Service by other users.

so therefore EVERY member of VJ should have a perm ban

I would think that the admins would just quietly block a user and wait for the dust to settle - Otherwise, if people start thinking that witch-hunt groups can get members banned, things would probably start getting a little out of hand.

I really hesitate to step in here for obvious reasons, but I just wanted to clarify one wee item.

TOS are the black & white print module we use to gage whether a post warrants a suspension. We also review posts if they need a nudge and no tnecessarily the full gamut. We also know when some things have crossed the line without necessarily violating the TOS. We have strived for a more peaceful board all around and act accordingly. That said, any actions we take with a member are private.

Again - I am bowing out now as what seems to be another admin-mod attack firestorm for what we might have done, might have not done, should have done, could have done, etc etc.

Repeated requests to PM us with issues rather than starting threads about it have also been ignored to some degree.

Hmmm, I see that on a daily basis, in fact there is another thread of belittling going on right now, yet it's ok...because neither the OP, nor anyone else in the thread has caused a stink.... everything is just being said in a "joking" manner. Just because no one complains, doesn't mean it's not going on. Ah well yes, double standards....

Exactly my point, it was posted previous that one must wait for a TOS violation to occur in order to enforce some sort of ban... When you have one that is very "subjective", there is no need to wait because it has already occured....
