I agree, he has no place on VJ anymore. The only time he comes on hes belittling ppl, cursing ppl or just being a d**k. I hope hes banned forever.

I dont know if he has been banned..... but I do think that what he did was just horrible.... to belittle someone who was involved in the awful events of 9/11 and accuse them of doing it to make themselfe look good is just wrong....

I hold anyone who has been involved in any tragedy and gave their time to help others in the highest esteem.... I lost a work friend in the north tower and I feel touched by 9/11.... so god knows how people who were there must feel...

People who do what he did do not deserve anyones respect...

He should've been banned the FIRST time he posted in that thread but he was allowed to continue.

Makes me f*cking SICK to be treated like that. And even tho I PMed AND asked in that thread to have my posts removed, it's been ignored. I have no desire to have personal thoughts out there anymore. I told Capn I was crying & shaking with anger over this yet it means nothing.

VJ is a horrible place - he can get away with treating me like that & my requests get ignored. Not to mention the OP requested it be closed far earlier as well.

I looked at the times on the thread and noticed it took place at almost midnight EST, and within an hour it was closed. It wasn't a busy time of day for Mods I'd assume, since most are probably sleeping in the middle of the night, so an hour for Ewok to close it seems normal to me.

Yet Capn posted after that & said to have more respect for others. That IS sick, no matter how you paint it. It should have been closed then. By then 2 others had asked him to quit as well. It wasn't closed till 15 minutes later.

I realize you were personally insulted by what Marc did. I don't blame you for that.

I do think though the issue is larger than what he did TO you. His overall lack of respect for what is a delicate matter is what caused me to call for the thread to be locked.

What Marc did TO you is just a small portion of the disrespect he showed. I hope you can understand I'm saying that with NO disrespect towards you at all. As we all know, many lives were affected that day.

It's my opinion that Captain had to spend some time reading the TOS to make certain whatever action he took he could back up. At least that is my take on things insofar as the timestamps and sequence of events fell.

Its the typical VJ way - let someone run ramshod and be as insulting as they want to be, but they must violate TOS to get a ban?

At some point, the site's owners have to take responsibility for the overall tone and tome of what is acceptable here and what is not. Take a personal stand about what you find acceptable and what you find unacceptable and DO SOMETHING.

If the person in question then comes back and complains about that decision - too bad. They don't own the site.

Sister dev..my respect for you and all you did ..doing 9/11.. i did allot of cisd (critical incident stress debriefing) and managed calls from people who lost their total staff.. the red cross was a hero during this sadness to allot of people...dean

As I said to you last night, I don't think you should feel 'bad' or 'embarrassed' (or whatever emotion I may be mis-naming) for your personal comments in the thread. Your feelings about that day and the time following are poignant and valid reminders of what we as Americans experienced, and what those at Ground Zero especially went through.

I feel it is better to let those posts remain, as well as Marc's.

Let the record show the true character of the writers.
