My husband's case was received by the NBC on 5/2 and he had his biometrics on 5/30 - the NOA was dated 5/8. Now he hasn't had a touch since 5/31, or a transfer, or an RFE....

It seems weird that it's been 103 days since his case was touched - and yet it sits at the NBC. I know they don't approve there (it has to be transferred to CSC or to our local office).

Did anyone else experience this?

my case has been there since january 2006...

Hopefully you'll get an interview soon and by the end of this year! You may wish to call in and check in on the case and also you may want to check in on what the processing timelines/dates are for your local office. Good luck...

I-485 , I-765, I-130: NOA1 : 1/23/2006

Biometrics 2/23/2006

Our case was at MSC for 123 days and then we were transferred to CSC. Our senator's office said that we were still in preliminary security review during that time. I was starting to really wonder what was wrong with our case because the majority of people are only at MSC for about 6 weeks or so. I found out that I wasn't the only one that waited longer than that so I didn't feel quite so out of the ordinary.

You will get that transfer or interview notice!

My AOS has been at NBC since start of June, had an RFE for tax info....case resumed processing July 6th and online status said i would have an update within 60 days (thinking this is standard) ...the 60 days have come and gone.

My namecheck has been completed and still no interview date. Called to USCIS .....spoke to an IO regarding my EAD...and was then advised to make an InfoPass regarding my AOS because my namecheck has been completed and the IO didnt understand why i hadnt been scheduled for my interview yet!! that my local office isnt that busy!

Separated!!

Mine has been there since April 2007, but we had an RFE that was settled on June 8. We have not heard anything since, not even a touch. However, the EAD was approved.

Is there any way to tell if you are undergoing security checks or waiting for an interview? I called the hotline and all they told me was that 6 months is normal processing time, so call back when 6 months have passed.

Thanks for sharing.

I was under the impression that this was not normal - but from reading your posts I see that is is.

Today marks day 103 so I guess it'll be normal to wait longer.

I did call USCIS last week but the IO was SUPER rude to me - and refused to talk to me because my husband wasn't there. Soooo, I'll have to call back when we can do 3-way since my hubby goes to work early everyday.

Is his name probably stuck in an FBI name check?

Our senator's office said that we were in preliminary security review which I guess could mean just about anything. I'm guessing it was name checks that he was stuck in.

Does anyone have any info on the steps that the AOS goes through once it is sent in? So does it have to pass through a preliminary set of name checks before they decide to transfer it or give an interview date? Then it gets transferred or an interview date and the name checks continue? I'd love to read more information (especially about name checks) if anyone knows of any about the AOS process.
