hi. you may already call the field office and know about it but i found the number for checking status. it is 304-625-5590. they will ask your A number. hope it will help:)

Just out of curiosity I called (304)625-5590 and said that I was checking on the status of my biometrics. I was asked my A#, name and dob, then was told that they were processed and sent back to the INS on the April 5th..the same day that my biometrics were performed. Not sure if it was just for my fingerprints or the whole thing. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the updates! Yes, I called this number and also the number for the namecheck. Was told by FBI after giving Carina's A# that biometrics (fingerprints) were never received from USCIS. Was told by namecheck number that they no longer give namecheck status.

When I tried to explain to USCIS both over the phone and at INfOPASS appt that something was wrong with biometrics done on 12/31/2004 they did not seem to care/think it was missing/not sent to FBI. They all say it is just pending the namecheck.

Personallly I think they are wrong but until we receive a new request for biometrics it is pretty much like talking to a brick wall. I am waiting until we are past the December 2004 application & processing date for USCIS according to Chicago district office and then I will call again and ask for a referral and also write the Ombudsman office.
