I just so happened to check the USCIS website today and my I29F for a K-3 was touched today. When I click on the case it says the following:

The I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) was transferred and is now pending standard processing at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done, counting from when USCIS received it. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. To receive e-mail updates, follow the link below to register.

What does this mean? My case goes from MSC/NBC to California and now this? Is this a good sign or bad sign, and did anyone else have this happen? Should I worry or get my hopes up for an approval soon? Please let me know, i'm chewing my nails off wondering

I've only seen one other example of a case being transferred to a local office for standard processing. It is still unclear to me why they do this or what it means but it soiunds like an extra step in the processing.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

thanks pushbrk and asmo. I would have preferred you guys tell me its because i'm near completion of my case :crying: Oh well, more delays, just what we need. I thought I submitted to them evidence that they wanted. I was in a rush to send off my I-130 that I didn't bother to wait until the wedding photos were back or until I got statements from my bank or credit card companies showing I added her as my wife to my accounts. Now I regret not waiting a week, as it seems it will cost me months.

Asmo, your timeline indicates that your I130 was approved and that your I129F was sent to NVC. If your petitions are not approved and were just sent to a local office, please update your timeline.

Cheers

I have sent five photos of my wedding with I130 but not with I129 petitions. I am not sure what else they needed. When I called them, I got an answer that my case is pending at local USCIS center but no rfe yet. but automatic response on call center mentioning about rfe. I guess I just have to wait to see  this whole process is taking a toll on us..I hope this process is over sooonn..plzzzz :(

I scheduled an appointment through Infopass with the local immigration office. If logic dictates correctly, then I assume they will send my case to the USCIS office nearest to my zip code, so i'm hoping to at least talk to them in person and find out something. I'm definitely not expecting approval, or even processing on my case, but i will bring photos, tickets, everything i can just in case i can give it to them to add to my file to keep from being delayed further...that is my goal

My confusion in your timeline was from your entry in the forwarded to NVC space. For k3s that is intended for the I129F, and since it has a value, the timeline no longer gives you an estimated date for the I129F.

Cheers.
