Hi fellow Journeyers this is where things stand.

Had infopass appointment las Friday, the officer was real helpfull, made tha calls to adjudicator in MO

and asked me for mi credit card to get my wifes AP sent overnight, and promised that I would have it on

Monday, thats today but nothing, called my credit card to see if there was a charge on y card for friday

and was told by my cc co. that there was a DHL charge for $ 1.00 but nothing else.

So we received the do not repond email stating that they AP and was aproved and mailed on 9/7/2007

and card request made for AED on the same day.

So I can cross my fingers and hope that it gets here tomorrow via snail mail, print out the aproval notice

and have someone pick my mail up while we are away and scan and email me the image, or try DHL it

to at the hotel we will be staying at.

any ideas, suggestions.

Thanks again

Well, at least you know it's been approved and issued. Hopefully, you will receive it before you leave. You'll need the original when you come back to the US, so scanning and emailing it won't work. Have someone courier it to you. Just don't forget that you can't get back into the country without it, so if it's delayed, you'll have to stay wherever you're going until you receive it.

Good luck!

The problem is if you leave the US before you have the AP in hand and you get someone to send it to you... you do not know what the date will be on the AP it may not be the same date as on the approval e-mail... if you left the US on a date before the date on the AP you can be refused entry as you will be deemed to have abandoned your AOS... if you read the USCIS website about AP it tells you not to leave before you have it in hand... so its not just a case of getting someone to mail it to you.... also what would you do if it went missing in the mail???

You'll need the original to come back. It has the photo of recipient imprinted in it and a relief seal. I received two exact originals in the same envelope.

You need the actual original document in hand before you leave the US......

Do not leave without it....
