Seems they had some hail, too:

Those photos were taken in the county just north of me. My brother in law, a deputy, was dispatched to help. He saw a lady sitting in her car, dead.

We're in a tornado watch till 4 am. I doubt I'll get any sleep.

More thunder now. UGH.

Yeah, it must have ripped through Sumner Cty pretty bad. They showed these images of 500K+ homes just flattened up in Gallatin (to those in CA and NYC: a 500K+ home in Middle TN is a solid, almost castle-like structure). They are saying it may have been an F4. Pretty scary. Haven't been able to get my buddy in H'ville on the phone yet. He and his wife just moved there 6 months ago. Hope their home is still in one piece. My other friends SE of Nashville said that the weather wasn't even that bad in their area.

Good to know that you're okay, Tracy.

Thanks man. :) I bet your buddy doesn't have power, esp. if he is in Davidson County's Hendersonville. The NES lady said that they are going to have to totally rebuild that part of the grid so it could be a week before they are back online. :o

We got lucky, too, here. We didn't even get hail or very strong winds. Just some sharp lightning and lots of rain.

A tornado dropped down across the road from my apartment but I think it went right back up because there is no damage (I wasn't at the apartment at the time). My parents cars are covered in dents though and I'm betting mine (at my apartment) is as well :P

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

The hail sadly did not spare my car :P I've got little plastic shields over the windows (I think they keep the rain out if you want to roll down the window, I dunno, they came with the car) and one of them got smashed. There are little dents all over my car too and it will cost $250 to get them fixed! <_<

First of all,Tony and my family are all safe here in Tennessee. I work in Gallatin, which is about 20 min. from where we live. It seems to be one of the hardest areas hit. I had just left work about 30 minutes early on Friday to pick up my kids from school and must have missed the tornado by minutes! I grew up in this area.

It is just unbelievable, all the damage that has been done. The one thing I did notice was that everyone was pulling together to help. I do have faith in people, that most of them are generally good!

Good to hear that you guys are alright. And I agree that people are mostly good. Certainly so in Gallatin, TN which, as I remember, is a very friendly and safe community.

Man, tornadoes are scary mother-@##$ers! Here in MA, they're apparently VERY uncommon, thank goodness! I think we have to worry more about hurricains. I really could do without one of those either, though! I like nice, calm, SAFE weather!

Glad everyone from here who's in the tornadoe-y areas is okay, though!
