Divorce in Hong Kong but a Filipina

Wonder if any had the same concern

My girlfriend is from the Philippines but lives in Hong Kong

Recently she completed her divorce in Hong Kong but in the Philippines which doesn't has divorce just annulment

it will still show that she married will this be a issue during her interview at the American Consulate even that she has divorce decree ?

September 25, 07 - NOA1

October 10, 07 Touched

January 07 08 Touched Limitation Wavier required

January 16 08 Touched Filing Limitation Wavier received in Vermont

January 17 -21 08 Touched

January 22 08 NOA2 Approved

January 28 08 NVC Case number issued HNK********

February 15 08 received packet 3

March 23 08 sent packet to consulate

April 26 08 FPU check

June 3 08 interview in Hong Kong

June 7 08 Visa in hand

June 25 08 Arrived in Boston

Aug 15 08 Married

February 15 09 Applied for AOS

March 27 09 Biometrics done in Boston

May 1 09 AOS transfered to CSC

June 10 ,09 Green Card ordered .. no interview

I have done some web searching seems it will not be a problem but the only issue if she ever married again she can never marry in the Philippines unless she was annulled

One MAJOR problem will be if the US embassy does a CENOMAR check. It will come up she still married.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

Yes I saw that last night ..great news for us

If any filipina whats a divorce in Hong Kong it was 85.00 in total and took about 3 months to complete

no need to hire a lawyer forms are simple
