Mexican Finacee K1 Interview Location

My mexican finacee lives in Monterrey, Mexico. I heard that the Monterrey US Embassy doesn't handle immigrant visa cases and that the Juarez Embassy is the closest one that does. Does this mean that she is going to need to travel to Juarez for her interview? Also is her son going to need to travel with her for this interview?

Thanks

They will schedule the interview at the closest embassy to the beneficiary. If Juarez is the closest then it will be the one processing the petition.

Ciudad Juarez is the only US Consulate in Mexico that issues family based visas....

Both wold be required to travel there.

I finally got rid of the never ending money drain. I called the plumber, and got the problem fixed. I wish her the best.

Not correct. Interviews are scheduled at the closest US Consulate that processes the visa category applied for. In the case of fiance or spouse based visas in Mexico, that's Juarez. Further, although there may be multiple Consulates in some countries, each country has only one US Embassy.

All visa applicants must appear with their passports and pay visa fees, even if they are asked no questions.

Some consulate will only require the minor child to attend the interview if at or above a certain age... I found the following on the CDJ website (it appears age 14 or older only are required):

If you have a Consular Interview appointment and if any minor 14 years old children are included in your

petition bring them to the Consulate.

YMMV

Sorry I wasn't clear. The passport and visa fee are required. Physical presense requirements vary by Consulate.
