Yeah, it's kind of funny. My grandfather married a Canadian woman, my other grandparents moved from Germany to Canada to the US, and even though my mother was born in Canada, and I'm not a dualie. Even with the immigration in my family, my grandparent's don't even remember what they had to go through it was so lenient and easy.

No need for another topic, I've had one or two already on it. Basically, I'm not Canadian because under the Canadian citizenship law in effect at the time, my mother lost her Canadian citizenship when my grandparents naturalized as American. However, I may still try to get the dates of my paternal grandmother's naturalization, to see if perhaps I'm not Canadian through my father, who may be a dual citizen and not know it.

So, last Saturday Kristy and I were "married" (had a ceremony with friends and family, but no marriage license/certificate) and, on Thursday we found out that we are pregnant!

It's been an absolute hoot telling my friends and family that I'm going to have a child. For the longest time I was the committed bachelor, now, in the span of one week, not only do I have a wife, but a pregnant wife at that!
