I filed the I-130 and I-485 a while ago and have had my biometrics. I received NOA's for both forms. I can track the I-485 online using the receipt number. Should I also be able to track the I-130? (which I cant right now).

Has anyone heard of a CSC transfer for someone who had to file both the I-130 and I-485 concurrently? I only seem to find CSC transfers for people who did the K1/K3 route.

Thanks

Muraari

We submitted an I-130 and I-485 for our daughter that were both transferred to CSC after her biometrics and have been able to track them both, as well as the I-765 that was submitted.

You should be able to track both I-130 and I-485.

My son's I-130/I-485 was transferred to CSC and recently approved. They generally send applications were they feel there may not be a need for an interview (as in the case of a child) . I think it's pretty rare for a spouse with an I-130/I-485 filed concurrently to be transferred, but it probably does happen.

Thanks for your replies. Does it strike anyone else as stupid that my AOS which is MSC XXXXXXXX85 can be tracked but MSC XXXXXXXX87 for my I-130 cannot? How can USCIS claim (as they did on the phone this morning) that they just havent caught up with data entry? I know I shouldnt apply logic to USCIS and its working but still......................

I have the same problem except that it's the contrary: I-130 can be tracked but not I-485. I try to think that as long as I have the NOA I don't have to worry. I think it might be that there are different people dealing with every papers and that not allof them have the time do it online. As long as they are working on it you know... why worry.

Plus if you look around here, you'll see that a lot of people receive letters in the mail without having any updates online. So online tracking only means so much.

Being able to track one but not the other may be because they're being processed in different places by different people.

I'm pretty sure the I-485 for example is processed at local offices, but I'm not sure the I-765 or I-131 are.

Well actually the National Service Center is the one that processes the I-485 until they send it to your local office of CSC. At least that's what I heard...

The I-485/I-130 would both be sent to the CSC when they are transferred.

Some files are held at the MSC and then sent to the local offices when the AOS interview is ready to be conducted (as was the case for David and Chris) but alternatively some cases are transferred to the CSC instead (and from what I have seen eliminate the interview with the local office).

The I-765 and I-131 are still processed by the MSC and don't really have anything to do with the I-485/I-130 processes.

For what is worth, I was not able to track my I485 online until the file was transferred to CSC. Prior to this I had received my NOA1 and biometrics letters via mail only. My AP and EAD I was not able to track online until they were approved, and not a minute before.
