the "whys" of the K-1

Hi all,

I just have a few why questions. I'm sure it is on another post or maybe not. I was just wondering the reason why we can't go to the states once the visa is approved. I mean before actually moving there. I was going down to the states every other week until i got approved and now I can't go Also, was wondering about once you have moved, why it is we can't come back to visit unless we get our AP? Many people ask me why I can't go down before actually moving and why I can't come back up here. And I really don't have answer. I'm sure it will all make sense once someone tells me. lol or maybe not!!

You're welcome to borrow my husband's explanation for these sorts of things:

It's just the way things *are*.

Why is it a one-time entry visa?

Why can't you leave the US and get back in until you have a Green Card?

It's the way the law was written!

You can tell them it's the same if your USC was immigrating to Canada. I have no idea if that is true or not, but it might make 'people' shut up.
