Hi all,

My fiance has completed the I-134, and had it notarized. He also has given me a letter of employment, on company stationery and his recent pay stubs. Will that be enough or does he still need to provide me with his tax returns for 2006?

On a side note, we found out that he has filled out some fields wrongly on the I-134, and he just canceled those out and initialed it. Will that be ok or do you guys think he'll have to fill out the form and have it notarized again?

Thank you! :help:

It's better not to make changes after the form has been notarized.

He should give you his 2006 ITR and W2s also. Better yet a 2006 tax transcript from IRS.

If you've downloaded the current form from the USCIS website, that version is acceptable.

I think my question was not clear enough. I ment the notarization, can it expire? The reason why im asking is that we've got a RFE witch's gone push us back so maybe our I-134 might get expired before i can go the interview.

Thanks, beckypua! Aww I think I have to get him to fill out the form and notarize it again huh? So you also think he should send his tax returns to me too? The thing is, I just got Packet 3 last week, and need to send in the checklist before the consulate will schedule an interview for me, so, I'm worried that by the time my fiance sends everything to me, it will be kinda late. And I guess this will lead to another question, should I send in my Packet 3 checklist first before I have all the documents they want? Or should I wait?? :(

Neither the form itself or the notarization will "expire" but the I-134 and supporting documents should be as fresh as practical at the time of the interview. I would wait until a month or two before the expected interview date to execute the I-134. Then provide up to date supporting documentation with it.

I will wait for the supporting docs, but i already have the form I-134. My fiance is on a job in Italy and when i went to visit him we did the form I-134 it wasnt easy to find an office to get it notarized i just hope i'll be able to use it for the interview.

Thanks for the reply!

As long as the job doesn't change and the supporting documents are current, the early I-134 will be fine.

Hi everyone, so do we still need the USC's 2006 tax returns as supporting evidence? We already have his letter of employment, on company stationery and his recent pay stubs. And his annual income is way above 125% of the poverty guidelines. Thanks!! ^_^

The job wont change but we will need a new employer letter, the one we have is from July 07 and i think that will be too old for the interview right?
