I submitted form I-134 (Affidavit of support) for my wife's I-129F application. Now that this has been approved, for the Adjustment of Status I have to submit substantially the same information again, this time by means of form I-864. Whereas for form I-134 it was explicitly stated that it should be notarized, I have found no such provision anywhere for form I-864. Thus, I would be very grateful if people who have submitted form I-864 can clarify this issue: Did you have it notarized? No conjectures please; I am only interested in the experiences of people who have already submitted this document.

NO  I-864 has no place to notarize or does not need to be notarized.

Are the Affidavit of Support forms required to be notarized?

No. The sponsor just has to sign the form. You should know however, when the sponsor signs an Affidavit of Support form, he/she certifies that the information provided, transcript and/or photocopy of tax documentation is true and correct, under penalty of perjury.

Firstly I-864 is never used in conjunction with I-129F, I-129F is K-1 or K-3 and the consulate is instructed to use I-134 for K-Visas.

I-864 Is used in conjunction with I-485 (AOS) and by consulates for IR-1 and CR-1 visas.
