Wow, people seem to get a thrill out of it. I'm telling you, it's not fun to have a c/s, even worse if that is the last thing you've wanted to birth your baby but it was necessary after almost two days of labor...I'm still trying to get over it. I'm not going to watch the video, bad memories and belive me...it's not like you don't feel anything. You feel A LOT even if you are numb from your chest down.

That was interesting to watch and a little more bloody than I thought they were. When my sister had her baby, she asked me to videotape it for her so that her husband could be at her side. After seeing what she went through with the pushing and the soreness afterward, I was soooo happy I had a c-section when I had my son because it seemed I went through a lot less pain than she did.

I had a c section and I agree with everything you said, not pleasant at all.

My best friend's c-section went very smoothly. The day she was released she went home and did house cleaning 'cus she was bored. She didn't feel much pain during recovery at all.

And for the feelings during the c-section, I think they can give you a mild sedative that will help you sort of not remember what you went through, with the feeling of being cut and tugged, even if it's not real pain.

I was breech and 4 weeks early, and my poor dear mother still delivered me naturally ;P Thank heavens I've never had to have a C-Section, I've had two perfectly healthy, natural (drug free) births, with no screaming, cussing, or attempting to break my hubby's hand But bless those mom's who need to have a C-section, it just seems awful.

Thank you. It is awful. All I could think about is "When is it over and when can I see my baby". It seemed forever and four hours later I finally saw my babyboy. I'm definetely trying for a VBAC.
