#######! MY MEDICAL IS TOMORROW AND JUST REMEMBERED THAT I HAVEN'T TAKEN MY PICS YET and I'm not a 100% sure where that freaking cover letter of the P3 is from Montreal that I need to take to the appointment tomorrow!!

(and I am at work til 5 pm tonight and it's sunday and everything closes!!)

is there a photo place near the medical office open in the AM?????? there's gotta be something near the medical office open when we all get there in the morning! (I hope)

I can go to a Walmart near me and they are open til 6 and say that if I come in at 5, I can get them done!! AGGGHHH, SO FREAKING OUT.. Still would like a back-up in case they turn me away at the counter..

Also, have any of you ever had an issue @ your medical w/ Seiden without the MTL packet 3 letter? I think (not sure) that I still have it but haven't seen it recently.. would email correspondence with them work?? :( What else can we use to show our case number..

[yes, I know I seem like a mess today, but I need your answers! Think of it like thanks for the hours on the spreadsheet..]

Timeline

Try and get your photos done tonight as there's no photo place open near Dr. Seiden's office that early in the morning.

Do you have a copy of the checklist you sent back to them with your case number written on it? You could bring that too. I mean, even if you had handwritten your own case number on it, the checklist is still a department of state form.

Shoppers is cheap and quick too - they're open til midnight around here in ON. make sure you take the size requirement with you since the picture is NOT the same as the Canadian passport size(which is rectangular vs square). I learned this the hardway and paid twice! :)

Color photographs of you alone, sufficiently recent to be a good likeness of you (normally taken within the last six months) and 2x2 inches in size. The image size measured from the bottom of your chin to the top of your head (including hair) should not be less than 1 inch and not more than 1-3/8 inches. The photographs must be color, clear, with full front view of your face, and printed on thin paper with plain light (white or off-white) background.

In case the walmart woman turns me away if I don't get there right at 5, I found a shoppers that is open til midnight that'll do them!!!

Took 5 calls to find one near me that had a *working* camera, a photo person who is *working* today, and that will be around til late!

So, needless to say the shoppers isn't near my house anymore.. but oh well!!

Trailmix, are you feeling the love?

CUz I'm sending it!!

Trailmix, kudos to you for sending this info. It help to remind all of what to tell the photographer you need. Liz, if you have a digital photo printer (or a decent inkjet printer) and some photo paper, forget the Mega-Lo mart or Shoppers Drug (if you have a mind to) and print your own.

The State Dept. accepts them (my brother printed out his and and the photo is now in his passport) and despite what the Canadian rules are, I know of two people who printed theirs and are now in their passport.

Here's the blurb from the website (http://travel.state.gov/passport/get/first/first_827.html):

DIGITIZED PASSPORT PHOTOS

If you choose to submit digitized photos, they must meet the same requirements of all passport photographs. In addition, digitized photographs are always produced on digital printers. Some printers will produce a photograph in which the dots are seen. Visible dots distort the image by making it look grainy. Acceptable photos have a continuous tone image that looks very photo-like.

Your photographs must be:

2x2 inches in size

Identical

Taken within the past 6 months, showing current appearance

Color

Full face, front view with a plain white or off-white background

Between 1 inch and 1 3/8 inches from the bottom of the chin to the top of the head

Taken in normal street attire

Uniforms should not be worn in photographs except religious attire that is worn daily.

Do not wear a hat or headgear that obscures the hair or hairline.

If you normally wear prescription glasses, a hearing device, wig or similar articles, they should be worn for your picture.

Dark glasses or nonprescription glasses with tinted lenses are not acceptable unless you need them for medical reasons. A medical certificate may be required.
