Our interview date is set

We just received an email notice (well, on Friday) that our interview is set for OCtober 1st at 1:00 pm. We're thnking that we will have to pick up the visa the next day. Does anyone know what time it would be ready. We're just trying to decide if we should stay in Vancouver another night or if we can fly back on the 2nd after we pick up the visa.

The medical at the Calgary Dr went ok. My husband had to wait close to an hour to see the Dr. He needed one shot for tetnus and the physical exam was fine. We then had to drive (not too far) to another clinic to get the x-ray. These guys were very speedy!. Then on to another clinic (again not too far) to do the blood work. This didn't take too long either. Just enough time for me to do some shopping near-by. The Calgary Dr only took 2 photos and said that we are unable to get a copy og the exam for ourselves. he said the AOS medical is completely different. Hmmmm... WE are to call on Wednesday to check on how the results are coming along. So we are praying that things will go smoothly. We should have enough time since our interview is 3 weeks away.

What is with these doctors not giving/selling copies to people? As a K3, you don't need to do a new exam for AOS. The issue is that USCIS routinely loses medicals handed over at the POE (it will be in your sealed envelope you give to the POE).

The visa should be ready at 2-ish in the afternoon the next day, dearheart. Word of advice: don't line up outside, go bug the security guard at the door and she'll help you bypass the lineup.

I know personally I didn't get a copy of my medical except for the vaccination blanket waiver sheet. Awhile back another VJ'er was able to get a photocopy of her results from the POE, though I never understood why she needed it.

It's because USCIS keeps losing people's medicals so if they can't get a copy from the panel physician when they do AOS, they have to pay for another medical in the U.S. from a civil surgeon which can run anywhere between $100 to $300+ for their (USCIS) mistake.

cdancer's medical was "missing" as was jq_am's wife's medical.
