RFE

I just sent in our AOS application and i think i am going to get an RFE. If I do get an RFE, do i need to send them over a whole new packet of all the application or would i be able to simply fax over the bit i am missing??

We never had an RFE so i am not too sure how it all works

First, why would you think you are going to get an RFE? Don't worry til it happens. If you get one only respond to the information they request, they don't want to sift through a bunch of paperwork looking for what they requested. Last, I wish you good luck and hope you DO NOT receive and RFE!

Depending on the nature of the RFE, you'll have to respond based upon what they want. I had my entire package sent back to me because I'd stapled a cheque in the wrong place. O_o; They simply sent instructions, and I mailed it off the day I received it.

Other times, and more commonly, you get requests for more specific information that does not involve getting the whole package sent to you. For example, if a medical examination was insufficient, lacking or simply unclear, you'll probably need only to provide that particular detail or bits.

I advise if you do get an RFE, photocopy the notice, make a cover letter to address the concern (with your A# and all the contents you included, and any documents), add the required documents and send it off. You'll want copies of whatever you send off.

Don't be too negative about your thoughts-- you'll probably do just fine in your app.
