We got our Approval letter today!!!! Our priority date was June 25th and we were approved on October 15th.

Just fyi for those of you waiting.

It seems this week csc is processing I-130 papers filed on May 31, and NOA1 of 6/15 because both of my petitions changed their last touched date.

Looks like they are running 4 months almost to the day from NOA1 to NOA2.

So, if your dates are near mine and your at california center you can hope for action soon!

Credzba - while it would be extremely nice if this were true - I am starting to think they do not necessarily always process first in - first out.

We have seen two approvals from mid/late may this week - but there are several filers from April still waiting for an approval - not to mention myself (and others from this thread who filed in May)

We sent our I130 in on May 22, rcvd May 23 and our NOA1 is June 8 - and we have heard nothing from CSC since. No touches either.

Hopefully - for your sake - you hear something positive soon, touches could be a very positive thing. You mention 'both of your petitions' though... did you file the I129F also, if so when?

No, I filed only I-130 but I filed for my wife and daughter.

I know of a friend who filed 2 weeks ahead of me and received his NOA2 2 weeks ago.

There was a post I read of an x-visa employee who said they are not processed fifo exactly, but they are put in boxes fifo.

Then each visa employee picks up a box, and takes it to their desk to work on.

So, you could get in a box thats picked up later, but it should be very close to fifo.

The more probable situation for people from Mexico is the name check.

I know they search a few of the databases to make sure neither person has a record.

With many of the mexican people having the same last name, I would think your chances of getting a hit on the name database would be high.

When they get a hit, they then have to spend extra time making sure that the bad person, and the applicant are not the same.

I don't know if this helps, but I believe the applications are processed very close to fifo.

i have been checking this topic everyday but as you can see no one has posted anything since 7 days ago and it seems like the uscis stoped working in may june cases as it was so great to see ppl geting they approvals .so today my case touched and it makes a good feelings to know they finnaly start moving again .

I don't know why I didn't notice it sooner, but I DO NOT have a PRIORITY DATE on our NOA1. We just have the recieved date >>june 12 & notice date >>june 22nd. Should there be a Priority date there??

I was just excited that we got our NOA1 in the mail and just wasn't paying any attention

Maybe I should call and speak to a rep there in CSC?!

Aisha - we don't have a priority date listed on our NOA1 either. I do not believe that there should be one on there however. (I hope!! )

Well I guess , I will give them a call tomorrow afternoon after work.

Just to see what the heck they have to say bout it ....if anything ( if i can talk to a live person )

It does make me feel a lil better knowing that mine is not alone
