You do if if you have been abroad for more than six months since you were 16.

If not alls you need is NBI clearance at the interview.

hello beckypua..

from DS-156K form:

THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS MUST BE ATTACHED IN ORDER TO APPLY FOR A FIANCE(E) NONIMMIGRANT VISA.

Your Birth Certificate

Birth Certificates of All Children Listed in Number Five

Death Certificate of Spouse (if any)

Marriage Certificate (if any)

it can be found on 2nd page of packet 4:

g. OTHER COUNTRY POLICE CERITFICATES: Applicants aged 16 years and older must also present Police Certificates from other countries where they have lived for six(6) months or more after reaching the age of 16. As with NBI clearances, foreign police certificates should be obtained in any maiden names, aliases or nicknames ever used while in the country in question, including different spellings you have used of those names.

Never heard of this being required before. Those documents chould already have been submitted with the original application and you should have the originals in hand for the interview.

Do you have a DS 156K form other than this one?

http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/82063.pdf

Either DOS has changed the requirements or you have an incorrect information.

Where did you get the info?

PS. NBI clearance is as same as police clearance for the entire Philippines.

I guess you could get police clearance for your province or city if you wanted to. I've seen where peeps even got Barangay clearance. Both are normally not needed tho.

I agree. my wife didn't need a local police clearance for her interview last December.

I just looked at the online appointment packet and it only mentions the NBI Clearance.
