Filing two k-3s

Hi, does anyone know if it is possible to file two k-3s for the same person. We first filed our k-3 and we were denied at the embassy because they said he was likely to become a public charge. We had a co-sponsor and the embassy does not accept co-sponsors, they said if we wait for the I-130/CR-1 comes through then we could use the joint sponsor. However at the rate the embassy is going it could take up 8 months or more to get an interview for the I-130 so I was thinking if i did another k-3 ( which only takes 2-3months) to get an interview then hubby could come here faster. Last time from petition filing to interview was about 4-5months for us. What has changed now is that i no longer need a co-sponsor. I just don't know if it is legally possible to file another k-3 petition. I mean the first one has probably expired. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

answer this ... was it 221g or 212 on the K-3 petiton?

also when did you last file K-3. whats the hold up on the CR1?

now the case compleate is pretty fast..

Last k-3 was filed in june 2005

It was a 212 on the returned paper ( prevents issuance of visa for anyone likely to become a public charge)

Case complete for I-130- in feb ( there are people since sept still waiting and it seems to be getting slower- its not the NVC but rather the embassy )

Why not send new evidence to the Consulate and ask them to reconsider the first application, first?

The consulate is not so easy to respond to e-mails and it depends on who you get. Once i got a reply stating that the it had been sent back to NVC which is not where cases are sent to. Then on the same day i got one saying that i didn't file the I-130 concurrently Like i said i can only reach them thru e-mail and they rarely do answer all my questions.

Anywho I called USCIS and they said that it is okay to do that. The first petition is expired so this would be a new case.
