I didn't argue that it was, I said, it's stuffed with dangerous dogma. One of the biggest 'bug bears' I have is the whole 'sex is a sin' argument. A great way to manipulate vast groups of people, not very useful when trying to teach people how to respect themselves and others.

Yes, there has been a plan for world domination by Islam right from when Muhamed kicked bucket.

But Muslim rulers have rarely gotten a clue that non-Muslims may resist out of sheer obduracy--which led to the decline of the Ottoman Empire after Suleiman "Magnificent"'s croaking, and decline of Mughals after Aurangzeb.

Honestly, ###### the Wahhabists. They're an overfunded minority sect. They are not representative of all of Islam, just the noisiest bit, and honestly, I don't much care if their plans include dominating Europe because it ain't going to happen. I am not spotting them millions of French Catholics and a billion Hindus.

If you're serious about cutting them off at the knees, maybe not cuddling up to the Saudis might be a start. If we didn't want microCaliphates in Baghdad, we could have maybe thought about the aftermath before we invaded.

'Since Europe no longer has a soul...' whatever. Calling yourself Christian is an antidote to supporting warfare these days? Being a fundamentalist Christian means you're immune to the long dark night of the soul?

Anyone who believes that there is only one way to salvation, nirvana, heaven, whatever, is dangerous.

As a Christian, I certainly wouldn't agree with that part, after all, Jesus himself said that he is the only way to the Father. Otoh, I reject all attempts to force people to confess Christianity, or to live as Christians whether or not they believe. That is entirely against the spirit of Jesus' teachings. Religion with a capital "R" certainly can be used for evil, but so can Political Power. Nazism and Communism, for example, were both explicitly anti-Christian and anti- organized relgion, but were responsible for the murders of scores of millions. I think the greatest danger is when captial "R" Religion and capital "P" Political Power are in bed with each other, and are essentially one thing, such as the concept of “al-Islam wal dawla”
