These days most European countries hardly fit the socialist label that has been applied to them by some people in the US. Of course to anyone who isn't in bed with Reaganomics and an unregulated free market anything else probably would seem to be socialist. Even so - the EU economy still compares favorably with that of the US.

At a guess - the moderately socialist policies of some European countries Vs. the totalitarianism of the world's Communist regimes. Apples and oranges really.

In much the same way that you hear people equate countries with nationalised healthcare to be communist - its very far from the truth.

USA is great but it would be even greater if it had universal health care, better maternity policies and more affordable college education like some European countries do.

When you have to fight an insurance company, you certainly don't think that this country is great.

But in general it is pretty nice, especially if you have money.

Cannot stand that deceptive company. The Walton family is just getting richer and richer while they rip off Americans and the American taxpayer.

What gets me is why the Democrats don't do something about those guys..
