hello ,

sorry about last post , I am very discourage and angry right now. my question was can age difference stop my soon to husband from getting his visa approved? I have just got engaged this past July and we plan on getting married next June 2008 in Morocco where he lives, I have talked to laywers and they told me that my age will play a big part in his visa getting approved or not. Has any one heard of this or had the same problem? I even had one guy ask me if I looked like Demi Moore, because that was the only way I would be able to keep my love, I replied back to him , not every one has to look like a super model or a movie star, so many people place looks as everything, i don't feel that way . true love is from the heart not the looks and if that is what you based it on than you will fail. Can any one help me with my question? i would apprecaite all the help i can get, thank you , please pray for us. My loves name is Hassan Salhi. thank you Mony

Please, dont be worried about not being approved because of age gap. I know some couples who have big age gap and they now living together happily. As long as you can prove to them that you both love each other no matter what is your age difference is. Good luck on your visa.

Oh please NO! That's not true at all. You can not put a number on love. I personally know someone that his fiancee is about the same age as his youngest daughter.

A member, female, had her petition denied because she was 15 years or so older than her fiance. She fought it but lost so ended up moving to his country and I haven't seen any posts from her for quite some time.

You won't be denied because of the age difference, but it may well cause them to scrutinize your case closely. They may deny the visa if they have any indication that the relationship is not bonafide.

Try not to worry about it too much and go on with your journey. Your love for each other will shine at the interview. I personally am 4 years older than my fiance and that was a concern for me because I just started the process, but now I don't even think about it. I know we just have to go in there strong and show them that we're for real. Good luck!!!

Please don't worry. I am 20 years older than my husband, I too petitioned for him with a K1. They will look at the case a little closer, but in the end that cannot deny you based on age. My husband stood his ground during the interview and stated how much we loved each other. During AOS, we were scrutinized again but even then, it was obvious we were a couple in love. Just cross all your T's and dot all your i's. Age is NOT a basis for denial. We have now been married for 9 months and couldn't be happier :) Good luck!

I am in the same boat - my hubby is 16 years younger than me and I am nervous about it, but I have hope that we will be approved since there are other couples where the man is younger than the woman who have been approved. If you haven't done so already, it might be worthwhile asking in the MENA forum - I think there are a lot of younger man/older woman couples there going through the same thing. Good luck!
