Setting aside the piss-off contest, our Presidential candidate pool sucks, again.

We need to focus on that reality. I will not bother to vote, for the second time.

IMO, it's better to vote for a "sure to lose" candidate you like than to not vote at all.

Gupt,

As usual, wisdom prevails. I will reluctantly vote, irrespective of expected (dismal) results.

Cheers Bro.

After seven years of Bush bashing, it's nice to see people get a head start on bashing the person who will almost certainly be the next President.

Anyone have a copy of the tabloid article many years ago about Hillary's sex orgy with UFOs?

     ...that had me in tears.

Hillary sucks and does not posses the credentials, experience or good judgment to hold the high office.

However, one must consider Dr. Condoleezza Rice, A “been there and done it" player, in the big picture. I realize that she is not running for President, but consider the reality of it all.

If she were to run for President, she would gain my vote, despite party lines.

Thoughts?

i'd so vote for connie :luv:

OF COURSE you would.

oh of course you don't like her. she's not a democrat. but she would be the first in many ways if she made president ;)

One thing both she and Hillary would have in common.... they'd both be our first ####### president.

Is the title of this thread any worse than the 'Kill the poor' thread by Steven?

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

It isn't the quality of the person who becomes President that counts but the quality of the people they select as their staff and advisers.

And how many of thompson's team quit/got fired in the last month? FOUR. INcluding his chief spokesman from early on, Mark Corallo.

Actually I wasn't being anti Hilary, if I could vote she would be my choice.

I think she will probably have a lot similar people to the staff Bill had if she gets elected and regardless of what he did personally I thought his team ran the country well, especially if you like not having an economic deficit.

Not voting throws away your voice.

BTW:

I never called you a woman hater.

I never called you names, even tho you freely dish it out.

I never said you were a gay hater.

I never mentioned illegal immigrants.

You need to read posts better.

Oh really? Then please amplify what you said.

"Cuz you can't stand the idea of gays being allowed to marry"

"Cuz you cannot STAND the thought of a woman being president?"

"That is beyond low class Gary."

"How about immigrant rights?"

Have I mis-understood your intent? If so them please tell me what you were talking about.

Um, you put words in my mouth. Very strong words I DID NOT SAY. None of what I said = hate. Calling what you did(said) low class is not an insiult AT you, no.
