I've been reading all the rants and problems going on. Well needless to say I am a Libra....I love harmony and things in balance. I don't like confrontation....in fact I'm probably just a big baby. So I figured we could all find a little peace in our lives.

So I just thought I would let everyone know that the sun is shining...it is harvest time where I live in North Dakota...the wheat is waiting to be cut ...soon it will be winter and so very cold but freshingly white and bright. Time for play in the snow with the snowmobiles...No downhill skiing here...no hills.

Oct 1/09 - I-751 package sent

Oct 3 - package delivered

Oct 5 - NOA mailed

Oct 13 - 1st NOA received and additional letters for my daughters I filed with. NOAs stated Resident Status

has been extended for 1 year and that we will be receiving a letter for an ASC appointment for

fingerprints, photo, and signature.

Dec 2009 - Received 10 year permanent resident card.

Feb 2010 - My children received their 10 year permanent resident cards.

Oct 2010 - My children were legally adopted by my USA Citizen husband.

My two pepper plants are full of peppers! Hungarian hot wax peppers to be precise (they're only "medium hot"). Should be harvest time in a couple of weeks. Fall flowers are now selling at the garden centres too so I'm going to get a bunch to replace some of my summer annuals that aren't doing so great right now.

And it's not melt-on-the-spot hot outside anymore which is nice.

Err, I have nothing else to add except I'm making biscuits for dinner tonight.

Oh my cats are driving me crazy. No wait, this is supposed to be positive stuff right? Okay, my cats make me laugh.

Beer is cool, life is good!! But thats just my point of view. :-)

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I saw some disco belles ( I really like disco belles!) on sale at the home depot. Too bad I don't have that much time these days to look after the garden, most of my bananas, papayas, passifloras, etc. are gone. I'm down to a few figs, one big frangipani and some small cuttings I brought back from Florida.

I love my cats, skf;sj;jswng;m 432423429 especially when they try to help me type on the keyboard.

One thing I miss about Canada: Snow. Yes, I miss snow. Living in California we don't get a lot of rain let alone snow. I could use some white stuff.

I'm moving to PA in less than two months. Um... I'm excited to grow my own herbs on Bee's deck once I get there (I can't do it here because where I live, the occupants don't like 'em). Stuff like rosemary, basil, lavender, and other things. I'm really excited. :)

It's freezing over here, but I'm knitting a scarf for the winter and hopefully it'll be done in time for those chilly walks in the snow.

I had to google disco belles, those are pretty! I had some hibisicus and canna lilies that flowered earlier this summer but after they were done they haven't rebloomed.
